SANDY SPRINGS, GA — Weather permitting, Georgia Department of Transportation construction partners will close three left lanes Saturday and Sunday evening on the northbound side of Ga. 400 in Sandy Springs.
The lanes will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2 through Sunday, Nov. 4 between Hammond Drive (Exit 4) to the North Springs MARTA Station (Exit 5C), GDOT said Friday afternoon.
The agency notes the lanes will be reduced from 12 to 11 feet for the construction of collector-distributor lanes along Interstate 285 westbound.
GDOT also states it will close the S.R. 400 southbound entrance ramp to I-285 westbound nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday, Nov. 2 through Saturday, Nov. 3 and Monday, Nov. 5 through Tuesday, Nov. 6.
Drivers traveling on Ga. 400 southbound should continue on that path and exit at the Glenridge Connector and take the Glenridge Connector ramp to S.R. 400 northbound. You will be allowed to continue on Ga. 400 northbound to access I-285 westbound.
